THE OVERFLOW ESTATE 1895

A boutique vineyard with architecturally designed cellar door, on an island, in the middle of a man made lake!

What a unique business this is. We recently had the pleasure of working with the team at The Overflow Estate 1895.Situated about one-and-a-half hours drive west of the Gold Coast, this amazing location has so much to offer. At the epicentre of the property is Lake Wyaralong, an enormous aquifer which accommodates rowing, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing and fishing. You can easily launch your own vessel or take advantage of the many adventure tour partners.

Bushwalking, hiking and biking are also possible. The northern banks of the Lake provide a home to an internationally recognised mountain bike course. Riders travel from all corners of the globe to sample this gem within the Scenic Rim. The entire course exceeds 70 k but shorter courses can be fashioned for your fitness level.The vineyard is truly something special, willed into existence by the property owners.

“The first rip with the ‘dozer was located on the south-eastern side of the main house on the gently sloping land fertilised by cattle for more than a century. The families felled the timber for the posts, barked it, snicked it and prepared it for splitting before the posts were erected. They ran the wires and the trellises, planted every vine, painstakingly pruned every spur and cane and tended the vineyard until the first vintage was harvested in January 2013.”

Fast forward to 2018 and we have the opening of the newly constructed Cellar Door. A modern, structure with an industrial feel that capture the light, space and views of the vineyard, lake and surrounds. A perfect addition to the property that brings people together to enjoy the locally produced wine and food.The Overflow Estate 1895, fuses modern, forward thinking concepts while retaining the traditional and historical ideals of the industry. When asked to design and build a website that encompasses all that is on offer, we jumped at the chance to produce a site that follows their ethos.The result… a custom designed and built WordPress site that showcases the beautiful photography of the region, promotes the produce and allows the visitor to learn about both the current offerings and history.As an ecommerce site, their product sales are streamlined, integrating with a sophisticated shipping platform, and membership signup option.We hope you enjoy.
