Expertise You Can Trust

Our team of WordPress professionals has a combine 25 years of experience in managing, maintaining, and securing WordPress sites of all sizes and complexities. From minor updates to major overhauls, we’ve got you covered.

What’s not covered?

We like to be clear about what our maintenance and security plan covers. In short, we keep your website running in its current state. There are certain circumstance where events out of our control are not covered. These are highlighted below.

3rd party integrations that change

If your website has an integrated with a third party service and that service changes something that causes your integration to break, there may be additional costs to get it up and running again.

Functionality changes

If your business requirements change and you need the website to function in a different way, this is not covered in the maintenance and security plan. We can of course assist with new requirements as a stand alone project. Just send us a brief or get in contact to discuss the requirements.

Content updates

Since we can’t anticipate how many or few content updates you need help with, we don’t cover these in our maintenance plan. We can support you with content updates, but as an additional fee.

Paid Plugin fees

As we built your website, some plugin fees are already covered under our licences. But, because each site is different, with different plugins, our maintenance plan does not cover paid plugin fees that are not already included. If you are unsure if you have paid plugins, please reach out and we can advise.

Ready to get started?

So that we can provide the best maintenance and security plan for WordPress, we don’t take on every website. There are certain criteria you need to meet.

1. Your website needs to be hosted with us.
This way, we can control the server environment and have direct and instant access to provide our service in a timely and effective manner.

2. Your website was built by us.
We don’t take on website that we haven’t built, because we don’t have a complete picture on the inner workings of the website and any specialised setup that has been done.

3. Domain is pointed to our Cloudflare account.
This is optional, but recommended. Cloudflare is a domain management service which provides a first line of defence against security threats. It also helps speed up your website.

4. We are in direct contact with the business.
If you are an agency looking for a maintenance and security plan for your clients, we do not white-label this service. We need to be in direct contact with the business owners so that we can communicate our recommendations and so that our processes interact directly with the business.

We can’t promise that your website won’t get hacked but one of the goals of WordPress maintenance and security is to make your site secure and more difficult for hackers to hack your site.

If your site is hacked, we get your website back up and running by either patching the hack or restoring to a previous version.

We invoice you for the first 3 months (minimum period) and then monthly invoices are sent after that.

Why is it important to maintain your WordPress website?

Maintaining a WordPress site is crucial for the longevity and security of your online presence. Without regular maintenance, your site becomes vulnerable to a myriad of issues such as outdated software, broken links, and decreased performance.

These issues not only frustrate users but can also lead to significant security risks. Statistics show that 90% of hacked content management system (CMS) websites in 2021 were built on WordPress, largely due to unpatched vulnerabilities and outdated plugins. Regular updates and maintenance ensure that your site is running the latest versions of WordPress core, themes, and plugins, reducing the risk of compatibility issues and security breaches.

The consequences of neglecting WordPress maintenance extend beyond just security vulnerabilities. Each day, an average of 30,000 websites are hacked globally, many of which are due to weaknesses in outdated software. A hacked website can result in data loss, a tarnished reputation, and loss of customer trust, which can be devastating for any business. Moreover, search engines like Google may blacklist compromised websites, causing a significant drop in search rankings and organic traffic. By investing in regular WordPress maintenance, you safeguard your site against potential threats, ensure optimal performance, and provide a seamless experience for your users, ultimately protecting your business’s
