Just in. The City of Gold Coast with The Arts Centre Gold Coast announced today the winner of a striking Cultural Precinct. Australian firm, ARM Architecture took the honors from 75 Stage One entries from around the globe with their impressive and exciting UI/UX designs.

The jurors described ARM Architecture’s plans to be ‘playful and inclusive’ with the leading firm aiming to entice residents and visitors to experience and participate in arts and cultural productions.

The winning design includes expanding the Living Arts Centre with a 1200 seat theatre and refurbishing the existing theatre, plus families will love the playful elements like the sub-tropical outdoor garden Artscape with a variety of areas for picnics and activities. The space will feature sculptures that embody the natural surrounds and breathe art and culture into the riverside location. The show stopper however will be a 14-storey Arts Museum with galleries that wind up and around the geometric and multi-faceted building boasting a bungy jump from the viewing platform.

The Gold Coast Cultural Precinct promises to further showcase the breadth of artistic talent, diversity and creativity of our beloved city to the world.

It is set to increase community awareness and support through the development of key arts and cultural projects.
